Non-binary: The Definition

Non-binary is a term used to describe individuals who do not exclusively fall under either of the binary gender identities, masculine or feminine. Often referred to as “enby” (NB), many terms fall under this umbrella such as, bigender/trigender (identifying with two or more genders), agender/genderfree (identifying with no gender), genderfluid (fluctuating between genders) and more. The non binary pride flag consists of a yellow stripe, to reference gender outside the binary, a white stripe to represent many/all genders, a purple stripe standing for a mix of male/female genders and a black stripe to represent agender.
