Though there have been many variations of the lesbian flag since the first design, the most recently recognised flag is the five stripe design using a mix of colours which some sources say to have the meaning: dark orange to represent 'gender non-conformity', light orange for 'community', white for 'womanhood', pink for 'serenity/peace' and dark rose for 'femininity'. Despite there being a few variations of this flag, this one represents an inclusivity for the entire community as opposed to the narrower predecessors of the flag (we are obviously super happy about this!!) Believe it or not, a version of the flag was first seen on Tumblr, so let’s all thank Tumblr for gracing us with this beauty!
